Runners Start -

 

The Wilson Hill Association, the Town of Louisville, and the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department worked together to organize a July 10, 2010 walk-run fundraiser at Whalen Park.  The race course was a 3.4 mile flat, fast, scenic route along the beautiful St. Lawrence River.  We are very pleased to report that we had 177 registered walkers-runners and netted about $2,300 for the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department.

 Ribbon medal awards were given to:  1^st place adult male / female:  Kevin Morris, time 20.31; and Debbie Pomainville, time 21.25; 1^st place youth male / female: Will Bronner, time 25.38; Lauren Orosz, time 25.04.

 Victory Promotions in Canton did a wonderful job for us on the hats and t-shirts for the participants and volunteers. 

The Town of Louisville and the Louisville Volunteer Fire Department plan to make this an annual event.  The Turtle Trot Walk-Run Committee is already hard at work planning for 2011.
